Fun fact: Nursing is my second career, I enlisted in the United States Air Force when I was 19 and served for 7 years as an Intelligence Analyst doing some pretty interesting missions.
Being a working mom of 2, I needed an effective and efficient workout to fit into my busy schedule. The moment I stepped into the Menlo Park studio to take my first class with Alisa I was OBSESSED! From the instructors to the Heartcore community, everything about it empowers you. I wanted to become a Heartcore instructor to empower clients to take control of their health and wellbeing.
When not on the Megaformer: I enjoy my time with my family watching reruns of The Office, catching a movie, basking in the sun, or finding new vegan places to eat.
Anna’s health tip: I believe prevention is key! Take it from me, the majority of chronic health conditions we see in our society (diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, etc) can all be fixed with healthy lifestyle changes.
Mega Tip: Executing any movement without proper form leads to injury. Modifying is NOT a sign of weakness, rather an increased understanding in body awareness allowing yourself to modify in order to engage the correct muscles. So leave that ego in the parking lot and modify when you begin to sacrifice form.
